Stono River Stable is a 300 acre horse farm and boarding facility in the heart of rural Johns Island, SC. Our facility includes miles of beautiful private trails. Located just seven miles south of downtown Charleston and seven miles north of Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. We are near the ocean and cool zephyrs are our norm.
Our area of Johns Island is in a large and complete eco system, with the wild of the beautiful low country: Eagles, otter, turkey, deer and crows with a diversity of fauna and flora in a maritime forest. Our farm has miles of private trails, diverse riding areas, pastures, paddocks and two barns.
Come enjoy a community of adult equestrians that enjoy riding their horses in a beautiful relaxed setting. Laura Quarles is managing our recently renovated boarding facility. Laura has 35 years of experience caring for and working with horses, at times some of the best in the country.

Tuxbury Farm is located off Highway 41, north of Mt. Pleasant, SC, on the scenic Wando River. The 25 acre equestrian center offers ample pasture for the stall or pasture boarded horse and a variety of services for the rider.
At Tuxbury, it's all about horses and the people who love them. It is our mission to continue to provide the facility and personal support that provides our clients with a unique and satisfying equine experience. CATR provides therapeutic riding and other Equine Assisted Activities to over 140 children and adults with disabilities and 30 wounded military veterans each year. By moving the rider's body in a manner similar to a human gait, therapeutic riding helps individuals with a wide range of disabilities gain strength, balance and confidence. Riding and interacting with horses is also fun, motivating and empowering, which promotes social, communicative and cognitive progress. CATR is recognized as a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) Premier Accredited Center.

Brickhouse Equestrian Center (BEC) is a 43-acre boarding and lesson facility located on Hamilton Road on Johns Island, SC. BEC provides quality horse care and a variety of services for both the casual and experienced equestrian. The property has ample pasture space, two boarding barns with over-sized stalls, two riding arenas and a large field suitable for riding, jumping and a leisurely walk. Our services include hunter jumper riding instruction from beginner to experienced, basic dressage lessons, showing opportunities, clinics, summer camp programs and vaulting. BEC is a certified United States Pony Club Center and offers meets and ratings regularly.
BEC is the proud home of Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.
